Contributors to FLIO

One of the long-term objectives of FLIO is to link our many language speakers, businesses and educators together into a global organization under the axiom: The greater the number of people that can speak and understand the language and culture of other countries – the greater the global understanding of current issues facing those countries. The more people understand each other between countries, the more opportunities are created.

The placement of FLIO participants into other countries will enhance the mutual knowledge about our nations, increase opportunities for trade, remove barriers of false perceptions, and raise awareness of global issues. These impressions are relevant to people who visit foreign countries even for a short time, such as a vacation. Now, imagine if you lived there and obtained an intimate knowledge of the people, networked with colleagues and developed friendships. Extend that concept further by linking like minds with deeper domains of knowledge in specialized areas. …You begin to see the potential of FLIO.

These relationships are not just for "the good of humanity" but also self-serving in nature. Satisfying personal needs first will lead to relationships that are positive and profitable for both. FLIO participants who learn the language of another country are valuable citizens of not just the U.S., but the world as well. These FLIO participants have acquired skills that afford them new opportunities for employment. The companies they work for will gain opportunities in opening new markets. These new country markets will create employment and social advancements within the countries they serve. All these links are fundamentally between the people that participate and that is where FLIO can make an impact.
